What can I expect at my first appointment?
At your first appointment, we will focus on what brings you to therapy and what you hope to achieve. Finding out more about your life–who is in it, how you spend your time, how you are feeling day-to-day, will help you and your therapist start to think about your concerns in context.
At your first meeting, please bring a photo ID, a form of payment, and your insurance card (if you plan to use insurance).
What insurance plans do you accept?
Our Affiliate therapists each accept several different insurance plans, including BCBS PPO, BlueChoice PPO, Aetna, Cigna, Magellan, and Medicaid. Please check with each individual therapist to confirm if they are in-network with your insurance plan.
What if my therapist doesn’t accept my insurance plan?
If your therapist does not accept your insurance plan, you have several options. You can utilize your “out of network benefits,” pay out of pocket (decide not to use insurance), or you can talk about being referred to a therapist who is in-network with your insurance plan.
Do you offer weekend and evening appointments?
Therapists are available seven days a week, including evenings. Please contact our therapists directly to determine if their schedule matches your availability.
Do you communicate with my doctor or other providers?
You and your therapist discuss together if it would be helpful to communicate with other providers. If you decide coordination of care would be beneficial, you will sign an authorization for your therapist to share information. You and your therapist can decide together what type of information to share (or not share).
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, checks, or credit cards.
