Project Description


Shanta approaches therapy with a compassionate and open stance to create a genuine connection with her clients. She works to help individuals recognize their strengths while being vulnerable about their needs and concerns. Shanta has a keen interest in working with individuals of color who may experience stress related to marginalization, acculturation, intergenerational conflict, and family dynamics.

Before joining ALLIANCE, Shanta worked at the Edward J. Hines VA Hospital. She is an adjunct faculty member at Northwestern University and The Chicago School of Professional Psychology where she enjoys teaching courses related to diversity and gender.
